Bones works for i Heart Radio and the couple is concerned rival media companies will refuse to support her music because they are dating.
The scenario played out publicly Friday when Sacramento’s KNCI (105.1 FM) - an i Heart competitor - dumped Ell from a listener appreciation event because of her personal affiliation with Bones.
Eva: I remember thinking, “Okay, so maybe he’s not dating somebody.” I was working the event so I was kind of floating — it was my job — and at one point you got me a drink and you were pretty flirty. And then he dropped me off and gave me a kiss goodbye. Haley: At what point did you talk about your relationship? I was told I had to make a decision, but it had become clear to me that that’s what I wanted. Like we’d go to events together and go out to eat together. All of his intentions are really pure, never malicious.
Moynihan currently voices the character Louie in the Disney XD revival of Duck Tales.“They were kissing in the car,” says a source who observed the couple before they headed into the club, where besides his signature song Brown also performed “Every Little Step.” The twosome – who apparently got together this month, a source tells PEOPLE – stayed at the event until 3 a.m.and did in the club what they were doing in the car: kissing.Ell shared the news on social media, which was met with swift response from fans and eventually the radio station.“Had a scheduled performance in Sacramento today for listeners. The radio station has asked me not to come bc of my personal life. Ell was in the area to perform on Brad Paisley’s Weekend Warrior World Tour on Friday night. @Bull Sacramento”Friday evening, KNCI’s Twitter feed reflected remorse for Ell’s canceled show.“Lindsay is an amazingly talented, up-and-coming artist and today we regrettably made a bad decision to cancel her show,” the tweet read. Bobby Brown, whose divorce from Whitney Houston became final in April, is back to his bachelor ways. Asked whom he was dating, the “My Prerogative” singer replied, “My friend,” and looked over at the woman holding his hand.Bobby Hellen, executive chef/co-owner of GG’s: It was on Governor’s Island. He was one of the chefs, another person there that I was coordinating with. Bobby: Well, I asked you for your number…Eva: Oh yeah, he asked me for my number! This was before we got together – many years before. We both work in the food industry, so we crossed paths a few times after that too. Absolutely not.”Bobby: She’s scared of the chef stigma. Bobby: We lost contact for a while and then I had just gotten back to New York after being away for a few months and I ended up going to an event…Eva: And I was there with my best friend Alex. You were like, “We should go have a drink and catch up.” I was in work mode so I gave you my business card. I said, “This is so weird.” But they were like, “That’s actually really nice.”Bobby: It was a good space, I knew everybody there and we had drinks outside first. Eva: It’s funny, because I remember you thought you were going to be five minutes late to show up for coffee or something and you emailed me to let me know and I was thinking, “This would be so much easier if we were texting!!!! We would touch on it but never outright talk about it. But after a while I was like, “Umm, what’s going on here? If you’re not making any more money, what’s the point? Eva: When I finally understood why he was hesitating, it was less of the cliché than I thought. Haley: You said something about him seeming different than anyone you’ve ever dated – what felt different for both of you in this relationship? I feel like you could’ve been born in the 1920s and could be 80 years old living on the Upper West Side with your bagel and jazz music and newspaper and you’d be perfectly happy. I remember being like, “Oh god, he doesn’t need my number right now. He was just a contact of mine, we didn’t work super close. I remember my coworker saying, “He’s cute, you should date him! I remember her pointing him out — she’s a great wing woman — and saying, “Oh, that guy’s cute.” I was like, “Oh yeah, whatever.” I never wanted to date in the industry, plus I didn’t recognize him instantly because I hadn’t seen him in like a year. I had another event coming up, so I emailed him to invite him. That’s the good thing about being in the restaurant business. ”Haley: I think there’s something kind of nice about emails. Eva: (Looking up emails on phone) Oh my gosh, I have them all! ” “Okay perfect what time.” “I’ll be a few minutes late.” “Actually, I’ll be on time.” This is going to be in the flipbook if we ever get married. Haley: So, after your first date…Eva: We had some really awesome first dates. All of our dates went well because we both like to try things: new restaurants, foods…Eva: Totally. ” At a certain point, you either go for it or you don’t. So after around a year I was like…Bobby: “What the fuck is going on.”Eva: That was when it came to a head. Haley: Up to that point were you acting like a couple or acting casual? He was more concerned with making sure it was right before he committed.
